A great cartoon (and very appropriate at the time) from the RGO's GEMINI newsletter (March 1988) drawn by Roy Wallis (Wol). One of the astronomers who I knew very well.
For the benefit of readers not familiar with the RGO site at Herstmonceux, its a pretty good representation. It depicts Alec Boksenberg the director, seeking handouts from the public. The lorry is filled with RGO gear including a telescope (Hmmm... They didn't get moved!) and the Tercentenary Sundial. The "Revolving Restaurant and Wall of Death" points to the empty INT dome and the "Argo Nite Klub" to the West Building.
Certainly one of Wol's best cartoons!
